Nobody knows who I am

Okay, so I'm unmarried, childless, and unemployed. That doesn't give me a lot to talk about when I run into high school classmates, but it does have a positive side. I just came back from the gym and I passed by this woman in the jacuzzi who said, "Do you exercise every day? I saw you here the other night too!" I told her that I only get over there two or three times a week, and she said she was looking for inspiration. I just thought it was interesting that, to a stranger, I could be a person who exercises every day. I could speak five languages. I could be an excellent cook. I'm none of those things right now, but instead of feeling trapped by circumstance, I feel like all those possibilities are open to me.

[Is this what an endorphin rush feels like? :-) ]

The plot thickens

Today I met my next door neighbor, Linda. From the conversation we had, I gathered that the FBI agent is actually her daughter. Linda was on vacation, so the daughter was house- and plant-sitting for her. Perhaps that explains why she was always outside smoking and on the phone instead of polluting her mother's environment and running up her mother's phone bill. Linda is super nice though, so I'm excited about meeting her. I just hope she doesn't go on vacation very often!

These are the people in my neighborhood

I left my apartment today at 12:15 PM to take my mother to lunch and grocery shopping.
I returned at 2:15 PM.
I left again at 3:30 PM to go to church.
I returned at 5:15 PM.
I left again at 8:30 PM to go to Luanne's birthday party.
I returned at 1:15 AM.

According to weather. com, it is currently 85 degrees Fahrenheit, but it "feels like" 95. Earlier today, it certainly was much hotter.

Each time I left or returned to my apartment, my "next door neighbor" was standing outside, smoking a cigarette and talking on her cell phone.

I believe this means that the FBI has caught up with me at last. Luckily, it turns out they sent their most obvious agent.

The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill

I saw this movie this afternoon. I smiled; I laughed; I cried. It is such an engaging and powerful story, and I don't even really like birds! Best movie I've seen since whatever the previous best movie I've seen was. Even people who traditionally rate films as 8s would have to give this one an 8.9999999999.

Oh, and Connor? Is such a Toby. Sigh.

Darn, I have to edit again. I got so caught up with the stupid, irresistible birds that I forgot to mention all the San Francisco scenery. I kept yelling out (in my head, of course), "I've been there!"

Senses Challenge

I got a score of 9 out of 20, although I really knew 2 other answers too. I overthought the questions and decided that the right answers were so easy that they had to be wrong. (Story of my life!)
